The Barrington Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer for the August 3, 2026 Municipal Police Academy. We are seeking motivated, service-minded individuals with a commitment to helping others.

- Valid Driver's License
- United States Citizenship
- Copies of High School Diploma or GED Certificate, if you have a College Degree please attach a copy of your Diploma.
- Must successfully PASS and SUBMIT an active Fit2Serve Physical Agility Test and Fit to Serve Written Exam Certificate.

- Eligibility List: Established based upon candidate passing all previous criteria and the Police Chief’s selection
- RI Municipal Police Training Academy: Approximately 22 weeks
- Field Training Officer (FTO) Program: Approximately 12–14 weeks
