About Us:

The Vineland Police Department (VPD) serves the diverse City of Vineland, New Jersey—a community of approximately 61,000 residents across 68.7 square miles in Cumberland County and its officers represent the diverse communities that they serve. As the state's largest city by land area, Vineland blends urban, suburban, and rural elements. The department's mission emphasizes community-oriented policing, focusing on trust-building, crime prevention, and responsive services. Community relations are a core pillar, with VPD promoting proactive engagement to address perceptions of aggressive policing in high-crime pockets. VPD operates with about 160 sworn officers and civilians, structured into Uniform Patrol, Investigations, and Support Services bureaus, under Chief Steven Triantos.
