ABOUT US
The Tiverton Fire Department responds to fire, medical, hazardous material, public service and water rescue calls from our three stations located in the three response districts. The department has 32 uniformed members operating four shifts on a 42 hour work schedule. Firefighters work 24 hour shifts. We staff two Class A pumpers of which one is a Rhode Island Health licensed ALS Engine, this is our Engine 3. This Engine is housed at Station 3 at 45 Crandall Rd. Our North Station (Sta 2) operates both a Ladder Truck and an Ambulance. The South Station (Sta 1) operates an Engine and an Ambulance. Both of these stations are cross manned by the two uniformed members stationed there. Station 1, is located at 287 East Road and Station 2, is located at 85 Main Road and is also serves as our headquarters station. Station 2 houses the administrative offices and our Fire Prevention office. We also provide mutual aid to the communities of Fall River, Westport Mass, Little Compton, and Portsmouth as well as other communities in our area.
