The Princeton Police Department is a full-time municipal law enforcement agency. Led by Chief Paul Patriarca, the Department is budgeted for eight full-time officers, five part-time officers, and an administrative assistant. Princeton is part of Wachusett Regional Dispatch. Serving a quiet rural community with low overall crime, the Princeton Police Department is a small, community-focused agency that emphasizes proactive engagement, visible patrols, and trust-building through transparency and collaboration.

In addition to its core responsibilities, the agency is a member of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC) and participates in regional operations and training.
