Temporary Communications Officer
Job Summary
Receive and respond to incoming calls to the County’s emergency 911communication system; dispatch emergency service and/or law enforcement personnel as appropriate.
We are open 24-7,364 including holidays. Successful candidates will have flexibility to work day, night or mid-shifts as needed. Our regular shifts include 0600-1800,1800-0600 or 1200-0000.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with technical/vocational training in emergency communications or a closely related field; supplemented by some emergency communications training and experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid Georgia Driver’s License, GCIC Operator, Basic Communication, CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch, and POST certifications.
Starting hourly rate: $16.09
