What You’ll Do:
- Be the First to Respond: Arrive on the scene of fires, accidents, illnesses, and life-threatening emergencies. Quickly assess critical situations and lead efforts to stabilize and assist victims.
- Deliver Life-Saving Care: Provide expert emergency medical treatment, administer medications, and safely transport patients to hospitals. Use your skills and calm demeanor to bring hope and care to those in crisis.
- Operate with Precision: Drive and operate ambulances and medical equipment with confidence and responsibility. Maintain clear radio communication with dispatch and hospitals throughout each call.
- Stay Mission-Ready: Perform regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure everything is fully stocked, operational, and ready for rapid response. Replenish supplies and perform light maintenance as needed.
- Document the Journey: Accurately document all emergency responses, patient care reports, transport records, and vehicle maintenance logs to support accountability and quality service.
- Engage with the Community: Take part in public education and outreach events, sharing critical health and safety information with citizens of all ages.
- Support Your Team: Collaborate seamlessly with firefighters, law enforcement, and dispatchers. Be a trusted and respected part of a unified emergency response team.
What You Bring:
- A high school diploma or GED and vocational/technical training in Emergency Medical Services
- Up to 6 months of hands-on emergency service experience (or equivalent)
- A valid Georgia driver’s license with emergency vehicle driver endorsements
- Current certifications in:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- CPR
- Basic Life Trauma Support
