Job Title: Custodial Supervisor
Summary:
This is a supervisory position with the primary purpose of supervising the building custodial staff and ensuring the proper cleaning and maintenance of county buildings.
- Job Duties:

- -Supervises the county’s custodial operations, including directing assigned staff and organizing and assigning daily tasks to custodial crews.
- -Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance schedules
- -Ensures custodial crews adhere to established safety guidelines
- -Responsible for the collection and delivery of work supplies and materials
- -Responsible for performing custodial work, including the removal of trash and debris
- -Responsible for restocking custodial supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
- -Responsible for reporting needed equipment repairs
- -Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of custodial equipment, supplies, and materials
- -Responsible for assisting with ordering new equipment, parts, and supplies
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, supplemented by up to two years of previous experience performing custodial work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Possess a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
Language Skills
Ability to read and understand written materials. Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisors, coworkers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Communication Skills
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in written form in a professional manner in order to give or exchange information, resolve problems, and/or provide service. In addition, this position requires extensive contact with other employees, the general public, and public officials, often involving problem-solving circumstances.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to interpret and understand a variety of forms, reports, manuals, regulations, and other means of instruction and guidance.

The work environment is primarily performed in an office entailing exposure to dust, dirt, grease, smoke, fumes and irritation chemicals.
