The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Family Support Worker for the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Child Protection Unit. This position is non-sworn and involves working with Child Protective Investigators to provide transportation for children or monitor children while CPI is performing other functions. This position encompasses supporting investigative functions, providing assistance to children and families by coordinating counseling and family support and updating and maintaining case files and client records. Work is generally performed during normal business hours although the incumbent may be required to work any schedule that fulfills the needs of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience working in a social, economic, health or rehabilitative, medical, nursing, child development or child care setting.
- Applicant may not have been convicted or adjudicated guilty of any crimes involving children.
- Pass thorough background investigation, polygraph and drug screening.
