Lifeguard position for Lake Horicon
Prerequisites:
- American Red Cross lifeguard training
- American Red Cross Community First aid and Safety
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
Training may be provided if need be.
Starting Salary: $18.00 per hour
Lifeguard Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies potential threats to safety
- Watches over patrons to ensure they are safe
- Rescues patrons in danger of drowning or in need of first aid
- Contacts appropriate persons in case a situation escalates beyond their expertise
- Assists with swimming lessons
- Enforces the facility’s rules
- Maintains a level of physical competence to carry out the job
- Inspects facility and immediately reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor
