Hillsborough County is comprised of twenty nine towns and NH’s two largest cities, Manchester and Nashua. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office serves approximately 417,000 residents (2019 US Census) residing in the following communities: Amherst, Antrim, Bedford, Bennington, Brookline, Deering, Francestown, Goffstown, Greenfield, Greenville, Hancock, Hillsborough, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Lyndeborough, Manchester, Mason, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, New Boston, New Ipswich, Pelham, Peterborough, Sharon, Temple, Weare, Wilton and Windsor. Hillsborough County is located in the south central portion of New Hampshire. The County contains 876.1 square miles of land area and 16.1 square miles of inland water area.

Sheriff Brian Newcomb, the 30th Sheriff of Hillsborough County, is responsible for leading, guiding and directing the operations of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Prior to being elected, Sheriff Connelly served in a variety of roles with both local and county law enforcement agencies, to include serving as a Police Chief as well as the Chief Deputy Sheriff for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
