HADLEY, MA POLICE DEPARTMENT
IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR
SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER
The Hadley Police Department is accepting applications for Special Police Officer positions. Special Officers perform the same duties while on shift as full-time officers. Some of these duties include patrol, call response, investigations, and paid details. Any applicants who are hired will be put through our field training program before working on their own.
Applicants must possess the following:
- A valid/current Reserve Intermittent Police Academy Certification
- Proof of attendance from a 20-hour Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee Firearms Safety Course
- A current CPR/First Responder certification
- A Massachusetts driver’s license
- A Class A (License to Carry) Firearms License
- A high school diploma or general equivalency.
Applicants must be 21 years of age by no later than the application deadline. Applicants must be prepared to complete multiple interviews, background checks, psychological examinations, and physical agility testing.
