ENTRY LEVEL PATROL OFFICER

The Brandon Police Department is always interested in hearing from qualified applicants. Applications received by the Brandon Police Department are kept on active file for a period of two years. All portions of the application must be received to be considered for review.
Brandon offers a competitive starting wage for full-time officers, including a benefits package of medical, dental, life, disability, retirement, paid sick time, vacation and personal time. Uniforms and police equipment are provided.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Be at least 20 years of age, be certified or certifiable as a police officer by the VT Criminal Justice Training Council (VCJTC), possess a valid drivers license, and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job. Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently certified through the VCJTC. However, those without certification are also encouraged to apply.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Entrance testing as required by the VCJTC (written, physical fitness and MMPI), medical/physical exam, oral board, polygraph exam, extensive background investigation and criminal/motor vehicle records check.
