PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS

Exciting opportunity awaits in the Portsmouth, NH Police Department’s Communications Center for Public Safety Dispatchers. These front-line positions require someone with strong telecommunications skills who can “keep their cool” under pressure and provide a valuable service to the public as the first contact to those calling for police, fire or emergency medical services. The Portsmouth Police Dept is actively seeking qualified applicants for these critical positions.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants for this position must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and have no criminal record. Applicants must be able to pass a dispatch test. Prior telecommunications experience, especially public safety, is preferred.
Salary range for full-time is, $44,739.62 - $65,209.13
