Job Announcement:
The Raritan Township police Department is currently accepting resumes for the position of Special Law Enforcement Officer II (SLEO II). The officer(s) will work in our municipal court. The SLEO II will work approx. 14 hours per month.
Qualifications:
- Must be a United States Citizen and a resident of New Jersey
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license
- Must possess a valid PTC Certification
- Cannot have an existing obligation under NJSA 40A:14-178
- Must pass a psychological exam and a medical exam
- Must pass a Drug Test pursuant to Attorney General's Law Enforcement Drug Testing Policy
- Must pass background investigation
- Must comply with all other state and federal requirements for the position
- Must be within 3 years of retirement, at the time of hiring
