IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR
S.L.E.O. II Police Officers
Applicants must possess a Police Training Commission (PTC) S.L.E.O. II Certification to apply.
Contractual obligations with other agencies must be satisfied or you may be removed from the hiring process.
Please make sure you have the appropriate PTC certification before applying.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language well and intelligently and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Is of good moral character and sound body and good health.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and prior to their 35th birthday,
- Is not convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or which would make the person unfit to perform the duties of the office.
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a medical, psychological, and drug screening prior to appointment.
S.L.E.O II DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- General patrol functions
- Traffic enforcement
- Enforcement of local ordinances
- Arrestee processing and transportation
- Municipal Court security
SALARY: S.L.E.O II OFFICERS START AT $20.00 PER HOUR
