The Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Fire and its volunteer fire companies foster a great family atmosphere. We are located close to Hershey Park, Knoebles Amusement Park, and The National Civil War Museum just to name a few! Our elite family of volunteer firefighters offers more than just free training in firefighting and emergency response procedures, as well as light and heavy-duty equipment handling. You’ll develop valuable leadership skills, enjoy improved physical fitness, and gain much more than just a stronger sense of community. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Our comprehensive benefits package covers everything you need, from our stipend staffing program to access to top-notch facilities such as weight rooms, lounges, laundry, live-in opportunities, and more. With all your needs taken care of, you can enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling lifestyle while experiencing transformative opportunities.

While we can prepare you for the practical aspects of our organization, the true transformation occurs as you become part of our close-knit community. We’re not just a local group, but part of a regional and national network of firefighters, fire police and first responders bound by a unique brotherhood of service that lasts a lifetime. Together, we make a difference.

As a volunteer with one of the fire companies within the Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Fire, you will have the opportunity to become part of a team that is dedicated to serving and protecting our community. You will learn from experienced firefighters and have access to specialized training that will help you develop invaluable skills and self-confidence. We provide all members with personal protective equipment (PPE), uniforms, equipment and comprehensive training. Plus, the friendships and camaraderie that come with being a part of our firefighting family are priceless.

Our members have deep personal ties to the Lower Paxton community. They aren’t just residents and students; they’re active participants as well, committed to serving their fellow community members.
