Director of Public Works/Water Department Supervisor
Director of Public Works/Water Department Supervisor - The Borough of High Bridge is seeking a full time NJ Certified Public Works Manager and Water Department Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience in a municipal public works department and operating a municipal water system or experience in a similar setting. The applicant must show strong aptitude with customer service, interdepartmental communication skills, leadership abilities, budget management, balancing competing priorities with routine daily operations and handling of large-scale projects. The Department’s scope of services includes road work, snow plowing, maintenance of parks, athletic fields, buildings and grounds, and vehicle maintenance. The applicant will also be involved with the day-to-day operations of the Borough Water and Sewer Utilities, including daily interactions with the designated Water and Sewer Operators. A valid New Jersey Class A CDL driver’s license is required. A valid and current minimum New Jersey W1 water operator’s license is required or the commitment to seek this level of license within the following 18 months. A valid and current New Jersey T1 public wastewater collection system license is required or the commitment to seek this level of license within eighteen months. Additionally, a NJ Compost Operator Certification is recommended. A full benefit package is offered, and compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
