Juvenile Detention Specialist – FEMALE ONLY Positions Open
THIS POSITION FOR FEMALES ONLY is responsible for providing direct supervision and guidance of delinquent youth in all daily living activities in secure setting, while maintaining the safety and security of staff and residents.
NOTE: This position is required to work rotating shifts which may include weekends, holidays and nights.
- $20.71 + $.50 per hour shift differential

- This position is required to work non-traditional, flexible work schedules, including weekends and holidays and variable shifts including nights.
DO YOU QUALIFY?
- Do you have a Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree in a related field + 2 years’ experience OR HS diploma and at least 4 years’ experience in a related field?
- Do you have the ability to obtain Idaho P.O.S.T certification?
- Do you have a driver’s license or are eligible to obtain one?
- Are you able to pass basic skills test? (spelling, grammar, math, reasoning)

- Able to interact with youth in a positive and productive manner
- Trainable to apply physical and mechanical restraints, perform CPR & First Aid
- Able to deal with potentially violent or high risk individuals
