Minimum Qualifications
- US Citizen
- No Criminal Convictions
- At least 21 years of age
- Associate's degree or at least 60 college credits or 30 college credits and at least 24 months in a public safety position or at least 24 months of honorable military service

Physical Qualification Test
- Applicants are awarded 0-7 points per test based on their performance as outlined in the chart below.
- Push-ups and sit-ups are scored as the number completed in a two minute period
- Points from the 3 tests are combined to produce the overall PQT score.
- An applicant must obtain a combined PQT score of 15 or more in order to pass.
- Applicants must obtain at least 1 point on each test. A score of 0 on any one test is an automatic failure

The Kenilworth Police Department was established in 1907. The department serves and protects the citizens of the Borough of Kenilworth New Jersey. Kenilworth is a 2.08 square mile community located within the County of Union.
